“Experience the ’70s live!”
CRY FREE:
DEEP PURPLE’s new album, *Splat!*, will be released on July 3—their 24th album since 1968. In keeping with the 30-year-old CRY FREE tradition, the Hungarian DEEP PURPLE COVER BAND always makes a point of including a song or two from the current DP repertoire in their set, and this time will be no different: the very next day after the release, you’ll be able to hear live where our favorites stand on their marathon journey. The program will also feature the greatest classics from the vast PURPLE archive, as well as a few rarely heard gems from CRY FREE’s special spring season shows.
They’re eagerly awaiting their return to the Ship—after all, their anniversary performance in January was one of the greatest concerts of the band’s three-decade career, with a sold-out crowd and an indescribable atmosphere. Let’s find out together what the summer “vibe” on the Danube adds to the experience!
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
