directed by Ron Fricke

Samsara is the creation of Ron Fricke and Mark Magidson, the award-winning creators of Face of the Worlds: Baraka and the Chronos. Their film is a completely new visual and musical experience; an artistic work, outstandingly unique in the program of movie theaters.

Samsara (samsara) is a Sanskrit word, its essence is a deeper interpretation of phenomena changing in the eternal cycle of life. This also provides the starting point of the film: Fricke and Magidson research the elusive, yet functioning point of connection that, according to Eastern religions, spans our lives and rebirths.

The crew filmed for 5 years in 24 countries on 5 continents. The wonderful shots were recorded on 70mm film, which is actually the reason for the amazing visual experience, which is based on sacred lands, disaster zones, industrial complexes and natural wonders. The Face of the Worlds: Like Baraka, the work without narration and descriptive texts, lived entirely by the recipient (viewer) and without influences, is by no means a traditional documentary. Its stimulating power is huge: breathtaking images and transcendent music come together as a whole, combining the bygone world with today's.

Samsara is a journey of discovery, a spiritual journey: soaring from aching depths to miracles, illuminating the points of connection between humanity and nature...
