The Budapest concert is a special occasion: several world-renowned artists will join Kostadinović’s band. Joe Locke is one of the most influential figures in the modern history of the vibraphone, whose playing is characterized by an exceptional sense of melody, stylistic diversity, and unparalleled freedom of improvisation. Alex Sipiagin, a leading trumpeter on the New York jazz scene, has been among the international elite for decades thanks to his impressive technique, rich tone, and sophisticated compositional approach.
The ensemble is joined by Tony Lakatos, who for many years was a leading soloist with the Frankfurt HR Big Band and has collaborated with some of the world’s most acclaimed jazz musicians. Lakatos and Sipiagin’s musical partnership spans several decades, and their joint projects represent the highest standards of modern mainstream jazz. Joshua Ginsburg, one of New York’s most sought-after double bassists, rounds out the quintet’s sound. Thanks to his deep groove, sophisticated accompaniment, and sensitive improvisations, he is a regular collaborator with numerous leading American and international jazz musicians.
Vladimir’s latest album, *IRIS*, was named one of the best international jazz releases of 2025 by *DownBeat* magazine.
