Boasting one of the most terrifying ‘jump scare’ scenes of the millennium, this film is not a horror film, but perhaps not even David Lynch knows exactly what it is. One thing is certain: it features two(?) women, a red curtain, a touch of Hollywood, a hint of lesbian action and a chillingly tragic musical number. And if we concentrate very hard when the box in the film opens, we might just glimpse the answer to that big question inside.
