PALO CANTO
Budapest-based Palo Canto builds its own, ever-evolving world at the intersection of organic electronica, ethno-techno, and contemporary electronic music. Hypnotic guitars, organic textures, tribal rhythms, and vocals evoking ancient rituals meet the pulsating energy of dance music.
“Ritual of Connection” is an evening dedicated to connection—connection to ourselves, to one another, to the music, and to that shared energy that can only emerge in a single space, at a single moment. From the very beginning, one of the core ideas behind Palo Canto’s music has been that dance should not be merely movement, but a kind of ritual: an opportunity to temporarily escape the noise of the outside world and get closer to something more instinctive and elemental.
In recent years, the group’s music has reached an increasingly broad international audience; they have performed in nearly 20 countries over the past two years, and their releases have garnered attention from platforms such as Cercle, Mixmag, KEXP, and Electronic Groove.
On November 27, Palo Canto will take the stage at Kassa Hajó with their most comprehensive concert set to date: in addition to material from their two full-length albums, they’ll also perform new songs. “Ritual of Connection” is not simply a concert, but a space created together. A brief moment when the boundary between the band and the audience blurs, and rhythm, movement, and presence become a shared language. An evening where simply being present is enough.
Location
KASSA ship
Up the Danube! Kassa aims to lure you on board Kassa, the new favourite of the electronic music audience in Budapest, moored on the most spectacular downtown stretch of the Danube! Wandering through the labyrinth of the ship's hull, space and time are completely eliminated, and the Martin Torus sound technology sounds with a dynamics and clarity that Budapest audiences have never experienced before. And to complete the audio-visual experience, a giant LED wall and countless robotic lights and other visual devices are also set up in the main hall.
