Pátkai Rozina – MINKA: Függőleges pillanat (szabad változat)

The MINKA creative group, founded by Rozina Pátkai, draws on the works of renowned Hungarian poets – including Minka Czóbel, Sándor Pilinszky, Sándor Petőfi and Dezső Tandori – to create ever-changing yet consistently intense soundscapes, whose atmosphere draws primarily on electronic dance music, free jazz and contemporary music. Their latest programme is built around the texts of Ágnes Nemes Nagy, situated at the intersection of poetry, experimental music and free improvisation. On this evening, the previously composed pieces from *The Vertical Moment* are loosened up and take on a new form: the songs, poems and the poet’s archived audio recordings are interwoven with live electronic and acoustic soundscapes. The composed sections dissolve into free improvisations, only to return in unexpected forms. The images, objects, spaces and silences of the poems are transformed into sound, rhythm and an ever-changing musical structure.
