METAPHOR – Where word and image meet
Where words and images meet
The visual arts are a source of inspiration for many artists. How does an image speak? How does a plot set in motion? What sounds, smells, and physical sensations do I experience in front of an artwork? And how does all this become words, sentences, and stories? From images to text.
In our latest program series, we will reflect on the relationship between literature and visual arts with the involvement of contemporary writers.
Each event is built around a chosen artwork, where in addition to the conversation, there is also the opportunity to experience a slow “immersion in the image.”
We will talk about important exhibitions, defining encounters with artworks, what Orsolya Fenyvesi looks for in an artwork, and what it was like for her to participate in the Immersion Workshop.
Guest: Orsolya Fenyvesi, poet, writer, translator, editor
Interviewer: Judit Cser, museum educator, head of the Immersion Workshop.
The main sponsor of Museum Dives and Metafora in 2026 is MVM.
