Budapest Bossanova Duo

The Budapest Bossanova Duo aims to present Brazilian bossa nova music in an authentic way in Hungary. The repertoire includes bossanova and samba in the original Portuguese language. However, through the improvised instrumental solos, it is also strongly linked to the performance style established in North American jazz. Yet the focus of our playing, which draws on all these traditions, is that this music is essentially a collection of songs, so that the instrumental and occasional vocal solos are stylistically 'bossanova'.
