Stormasound

I am Stormasound (Bence Torma), a Budapest-based DJ. My interest in music started when I was only a kid. My grandparents and they love for music had a huge impact on my early days as a musician, as my granddad was a cellist and my grandmother taught music in a grade school.  They taught me the bases of music. Since then I learned how to play music by myself on my first DJ desk, a Pioneer 100S.

During the years working in the music business I found my own voice, and playing music became a vocation instead of a hobby.  I found electronic music at my early 20-s and I’m expanding my technical and musical knowledge since then. I started playing actively around that time in the nightlife of Budapest. During this period I played in several famous clubs of the Hungarian capital, such as Tesla Club, Symbol, Secret Room - as now I am a resident DJ of the popular club, Yellow. I also got the chance in the last few years to play on the biggest festivals of Hungary - VOLT Fesztivál, Sound Festival and the most famous of all: Sziget Fesztivál. From 2019 I am flattered that I became the resident DJ next to Nigel Stately - one of Hungary’s most popular DJs - of the party series Deep Café.

My first music, In My Dreams was published by Magneoton in the 27th of May, 2016.  It was played by several domestic radios, including Hungary’s leading radio station and it made it to Top3 in the sales list of the publisher. That was a turning point in my life - I became a popular and known DJ in Hungary, but I truly found myself in making my own music. In the last years I published a few tracks, including Boneless. That track had 4 remixes and led the top list of the publisher for 3 months.  My two latest tracks was published by foreign publishers. The Crazibiza - Banana Pop remix published by Pornstar made it to the 45th place of the Funky/House list of Beatport.

In 2016 and 2017 I was nominated as ‘The Discovery of the Year” on Ballantines Music Awards, and both times made it to Top10.
