Zaekar

Formed in 2021, Zækar is a Hungarian band blending jazz-rock and pop into a melancholic yet groove-driven musical expression. Their self-described sound—“somorgazmikus melanko-stenk jazz‑pop”—merges refined musicality with provocative, existential lyrics. Following their debut Színcápa EP, they released their first full-length album VilágHB in 2022, weaving together house party vibes, retro folk‑jazz, drum & bass and hip‑hop influences into a cohesive, eclectic musical world. The band features seasoned musicians from the Hungarian scene: András Ambrus (vocals/bass), István Beke (keys), Botond Horváth (guitar), and Jimmy Dave (drums).
