Kárpátia

Kárpátia was founded in 2003. In the beginning it consisted of 3 members. All three were former members of Cool Head Klan. In the same year, they released two albums. and So Was! So will it be!. Soon after, Tamás Bíró (guitarist) and Gábor Galántai (keyboards) joined the band. In 2005, the album Hősi énekek (Songs of Heroes) was released, in 2006, Red, White, Green, in 2007, For God, For Homeland, and in 2008, The Word of Times, with Beáta Garamvölgyi-Bene (flute). From then on, she regularly took part in the concerts, and over time she became a full member. In 2009, they released a cover album with a symphonic arrangement of the songs that had already become popular. A few months later, the album Szebb jövőt! album. In 2010, the album Utolsó percig (Until the Last Minute) was released, featuring a rock version of the Hymn. In 2011, they released another album of covers, Bujdosók (Folk music covers). Bäck played in the opening band of Cool Head Klan and Zsolt Molics recommended him to Kárpátia. A year later, on 20 August 2012, the album Rendületlenül was released, featuring Piroska Egedy on cello solos. On 14 March 2013, János Petrás was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary. He said that although he accepted the award himself, the recognition was for the whole band and all the fans. In 2013, in honour of the band's 10th anniversary, a music video was filmed for four songs on the new album, A Száműzött (The Exile). The clips were posted on YouTube on 9 May, 23 May, 6 June and 16 August, and the album was also released on 20 August this year. On 10 June, the band's first compilation album, Legio, was released, featuring 18 songs, mostly for Polish fans. In 2013, the first Hungarian 3D concert film was made with Kárpátia, which can be freely viewed on YouTube. In May 2014, another clip from the new album Bátraké a Szerencse (Bátraké a Szerencs) was uploaded to the internet. Similar to last year, this year three clips were uploaded before the release of the album, but at a frequency of 4 weeks instead of 2. All the songs from the album were officially uploaded to the YouTube video-sharing site on 15 August 2014 and the albums were also released in stores. In 2015, the band has a new album for the fans, which was released, as usual, around 20 August. In addition, it was announced that the two ladies Beáta Bene and Piroska Egedy, who have been playing with the band for years on numerous occasions, have officially joined the band.
