Breastbone

Breastbone, a balladic post-rock band, was founded in 2022 by the singer-songwriter-lyricist Borka Rozsnyik. The singer, who is a psychologist by profession, sings songs about grief, desire, control and the loss of control, and her music is dominated by contrasts and contrasts: softness and hardness, light and darkness, depth and height, pious calm and fierce power. The tension between the melodious female vocal solo, built on folk, and the psychedelic, dark, slower-paced, sometimes distorted foundations is made even more unpredictable by the unmatched rhythms and changes of time signature. Together, the sensitive, visceral solos and the English-language lyrics, infused with psychoanalytic metaphors, elevate the instinctive, gut-level impulses to the level of consciousness.
