Kata Karko

Dr. Katalin Karkó, also known as Kata Karko, came to the world of jazz from a professional background outside the music industry. A few years ago, she joined Irish Dog Jazz Gang as their vocalist, a band made up of renowned and highly respected jazz musicians from across Hungary.

In search of her own artistic voice, she began writing Hungarian lyrics for English-language jazz standards, with the aim of bringing audiences closer to the emotionally rich world of jazz.

In the autumn of 2026, she released her first Hungarian-language adaptations of jazz standards, marking her debut not only as a singer but also as a lyricist. https://ffm.bio/katakarko
