Klebelsberg Kultúrkúria
The Klebelsberg Culture Mansion is situated in the picturesque surroundings of the Buda Hills in the 2nd district, on the site of the former Klebelsberg estates. Opened in the summer of 2005, its unique architecture is inspired by the old mansion building, which has retained its neoclassical features after renovation and is one of the original Klebelsberg schools. The use of different materials (natural stone, metal, brick, concrete) in the new wing of the building reflects the contemporary architectural style. Ramps in the corridors of the Culture Mansion facilitate access for the disabled.
The harmonious link between past and present applies not only to the building but also to the artistic concept of the Culture Curia. Classical drama and modern musical theatre (modern opera); folk dance and contemporary dance; classical music and high quality popular music; contemporary solo and group exhibitions of fine and applied arts and photography. These categories seem to belong to different artistic disciplines, but in fact they are all part of the same genre, so we offer a range of a combination of all of them.
The institution also promotes other values, so in addition to fostering cultural links across borders, we also place great emphasis on organising programmes that are environmentally conscious.
