The Gerbeaud legend began with Henrik Kugler when he opened his confectionery in Budapest 165 years ago. Later, he met Émile Gerbeaud in Paris and – in the absence of a successor – invited him to Budapest as a future business partner, who took over the confectionery in 1884. The name Gerbeaud became internationally well-known and celebrated. The years and centuries come and go, but a trip to Gerbeaud has meant a splendid journey in flavour through all ages, to people of all ages.
