Jules War

Jules War, aka Eszter Lovasi's formation appeared in mid-November 2024 with a special atmosphere music project, after a few songs that have been released until then, with the wonderful debut LP, “The Greatest Climber on Earth”, on which the band worked for more than 4 years. The album was created with the help of several contributors, and by the end of 2024 it was so complete that it felt to her ready to present it to the public, first on digital platforms and then live from 2025 onwards.

The familiar-sounding family name is not a coincidence: Eszter is the daughter of András Lovasi, so it is not surprising that she started composing songs quite early, in which she was also supported at home. But where does her stage name come from? The nickname used in the family is Juliska, which comes from her middle name, Julianna, and from that comes Jules, while “War” refers to her songs about internal struggles.

In addition to the frontman, Domonkos Szilágyi plays drums in the band, who also grew up in a musician family and has been studying music since kindergarten. He played the oboe until he was 14, then he started to train himself on the drums and started his music career as a member of the band Einstand, and since then he has participated in several other projects as well. He and Eszter had known each other for a long time as friends, and then they decided over a drink to continue their careers together.

Behind the guitar they have Balázs Bajnok. Music has been part of his everyday life since he was a child, he played the cello for 10 years, played the acoustic fingerstyle guitar for 3 years, and can also play the banjo, which he learned completely self-taught. As a member of the band Magidom he released three LPs and toured most of the country, as well as appearing occasionally as a guest musician in several formations. The possibility of making music together was discussed with Eszter as early as 2022, and after Balázs listened to the first demos, he couldn't say no to joining.

Márton Lévai, the band's keyboardist, previously worked as a composer for an international company, mainly composing songs for games, trailers and commercials. In addition, he is also active as a music producer and piano teacher, and previously released two solo albums, which he made entirely at home. He has worked with countless bands and performers, including Janka Hüse on the Léleknyitogató project, together with kristoaf and Gergő Rácz, as well as in the bands Third Planet, Towpe and Magidom. He was invited to Jules War by Balázs, and since Marci immediately was touched by the musical material, he gladly accepted the mission.
