Rovizz's party guide

Today’s event selection was curated by Budapest-based Rovizz, a DJ of Persian descent, who is known for his raw techno sets blending groove, hypnotic textures, and harder elements. Alongside DJing, he is part of the Aether crew and recently co-founded the Quasar event series, which also features in his selection.

What: ROOTZ stands out to me for its focus on good music, atmosphere and giving lesser-known artists a real platform alongside established names. That support for upcoming talent is exactly what keeps Budapest’s scene fresh and evolving.

Casino Bangkok

Where: Turbina Kulturális Központ
When: October 9.
What: Casino Bangkok consistently brings quality techno to Budapest, combining strong international bookings with support for local artists — this time with Mac Declos as the headliner. I really value their contribution to pushing proper techno and introducing more of this sound to the local crowd.

Quasar II: Hubble Into the Void

Where: Atno
When: October 2.
What: My most personal pick: Quasar is a new event series focused on bringing quality to Budapest’s techno scene, from the music to the atmosphere and overall experience. It’s a niche party made for people who genuinely appreciate proper techno.

5 Years of Memphis x The Balance with Fabe (Fashion Show)

Where: Turbina Kulturális Központ
When: September 25.
What: I like that this one goes beyond a regular house party, combining music with a fashion show and a concept inspired by ancient Egyptian history and mythology. It’s this attention to the whole experience that makes the event stand out for me.
