Andrea Pass: New World
"Therefore, it does not belong to anyone... This is the freedom of the libertarian independent. Because he is not the only one who lives like that in this country, independently. In the illusory freedom of regime change, which is more important to them than anything else, even family and love of country."
Our performance, based on the drama by Andrea Pass, explores exclusionary thinking through the story of 16-year-old Kata. After enduring the divorce of her parents and the move to the New World housing estate, the girl, in search of friends, real support and, most of all, herself, befriends two boys from the housing estate who hold extremist views. The three young people grow increasingly angry with the social groups they see as the cause of their troubles, while their parents' generation drifts helplessly along.
