In the exhibition accompanying the film Explaining Everything, images taken on the set are combined with personal, handwritten poems.

The independent Hungarian film Explaining Everything was shot in the summer of 2022 and its moments

Réka Vajda captured the moments of the film. The settings, compositions and captured moments of the images

all go far beyond simple stills. Réka is in colour and black and white,

medium format images give us a slightly different perspective on some of the film's scenes. Reisz

Gábor, the film's director, wrote a poem of a few lines every day on his way to the set. E

Sometimes they tell a story, sometimes they are a completely associative rendering of the

that defined this extremely intense, tiring but all the more joyful

Gábor's texts are handwritten on Réka's photos, creating a sense of

a freely interpretable, yet clear and close connection between film, photography and

text.

All the images in the exhibition are available for purchase with the handwritten poem.
