LIGHT meets PLAY

As late fall turns a bit gloomy, we long for a little light and warmth. At the end of a dreary day, it feels especially good to come home to our favorite things. This time, we’re inviting Hungarian designers to ed𝒾t’s pink-floored exhibition space—designers who are guaranteed to help you recharge your vitamin D levels and stock up on positive energy for those gloomy days!

What’s more, our current selection goes beyond the home decor items you’ve come to expect from previous Soft & Solid events! Alongside furniture, lamps, ceramics, home textiles, and home decor, this time we’ll also feature nature-inspired, slow-crafted leather bags and artistic jewelry with delicate textures or imperfect beauty. What’s more: the Multipraktik ping-pong table is coming to us, and you can even try it out during the Friday night in-house ping-pong tournament!

Just a reminder: as the days get shorter, we’re also getting closer and closer to Christmas. Take a look around the exhibition and the Saturday pop-up market, and pick up your Christmas gifts before Advent even begins!

After all, you know that when you buy from a local designer, you’re doing a lot of good—not only are you getting something unique, but you’re also supporting a small Hungarian business, which is especially important these days.

The event is part of the DesignFest series.

WHAT IS IT?

Soft&Solid is nothing less than a 3 (!) day pop-up event where a selection of items by Hungarian designers moves into the living room of your design-savvy friend, ed𝒾t. There are no boring wall captions here, no stern attendants patrolling the space, and not even overzealous salespeople. What you will find, however, are many exciting, distinctive, colorful, or minimalist—and in every case, unique—objects. And of course, during the exhibition, ed𝒾t will be happy to tell you about Hungarian design, and you can meet the designers in person at the opening night and the Saturday pop-up market.
