BÁBEL
BÁBEL is not a narrative-driven performance, but an exploration of an eclectic world through expressive imagery and moments, infused with self-irony and humour. Its characters struggle to regain a lost sense of balance, caught between chaos and conflicting emotions.
Amid this fractured world, the longing for harmony emerges with striking clarity. The tension between balance and chaos unfolds through contrasting aesthetic qualities expressed in the performance’s movement language, music and visual effects.

Humanity has become increasingly disconnected from its natural environment. While we long for a more harmonious way of life, the world around us grows ever more chaotic, making it increasingly difficult to find our way and live in balance.
The production BÁBEL seeks to explore the emotional states of individuals and communities facing the social challenges of the 21st century. Amid the “Babel-like confusion”, our personal experiences are often remarkably similar, as people across the world tend to share the same feelings and values when it comes to the most fundamental aspects of being human.
In every community, our bonds, loving relationships, beliefs, traditions and customs form the foundations of living together. People are often driven by good intentions; most do not support wars or wish to see the planet consumed or the destruction of the natural world. And yet, it all happens. The chaos continues, leaving us overwhelmed by confusion.
National Dance Theatre
On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
