UNEXPECTED VISITS PERFORMANCE
The 1:1 structural model in the Ludwig Museum's Kockahaus exhibition offers the opportunity to create a situation in which, on 25 May, we can use performative means to bring the issues of coexistence from a historical perspective into the present.

Direct actions for everyday life take place in different living spaces: the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, terrace, outside and inside. The crossing of boundaries, thresholds, the "embodiment" of the gridded spaces is manifested in various forms of action, such as cooking, changing clothes, communication, expression; all of which give rise to narratives, images, scenes. Participants share everything with visitors and passers-by. The Unexpected Visit is a surprise, a stimulating exchange of ideas, a reinforcement of all that can be shared.
The project looks for intersections, connections in the common set; it follows the Danube, enters the museum and then plunges back into the city. Nomadic methods and experiences enrich the life of the city; they seek places, action and living situations in a spirit of engagement and mutual responsibility.
Georg Winter came to the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in the second semester of the 2023-24 academic year as the first winner of the Peter und Irene Ludwig Stiftung Art Prize, where he gave a seminar entitled Promenadological Practices.
The project "Unexpected Visitors" is the final event of the semester.
Ludwig Museum
The Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art, located in Müpa, is the first museum in Hungary to exclusively collect contemporary art. In addition to a permanent exhibition of the collection donated by the Ludwigs and a number of temporary exhibitions, the museum aims to raise awareness of the works and their creators through special publications and a variety of art education and art education programmes.
