This conceptual work is considered by experts to be one of the best rock albums of all time. It speaks of human confinement, vulnerability and helplessness. It's about hopeless love and human relationships, about building an even world. It speaks of war, of resurgent fascism, of all the influences that oppress and imprison us. Its protagonist Pink builds an imaginary wall between himself and the outside world. He drifts between the world of fantasy and the unprocessable reality. Each bad experience is another brick in the wall. Finally, an imaginary court sentences him to tear down the wall. Because in one's life there is no alternative. All kinds of confinement must be demolished. But what happens next? There is no answer to that.
