Jiro dreams of designing airplanes. Since he has worn thick glasses since childhood and has no hope of becoming a pilot, he joins the largest Japanese aircraft design engineering team in 1927. His talents were discovered early and he became one of the world's most respected designers, and he continued to work with great vigour on the technological development of aviation throughout his life.
