Francis, father of Peter and Jack, has died in tragic circumstances. It has been almost a year since the brothers have met. Francis, the eldest, is determined to bring the family back together. Nothing seems more fitting than a long, adventurous train journey across India. The end goal is to visit their mother, who had moved away from them without warning a few years earlier and now lives as Sister Patricia in the foothills of the Himalayas. But the three sisters' journey goes off the rails when, through a fortuitous turn of events, they find themselves in the desert.
