Bella is an eccentric girl who keeps to herself. When her mother remarries, she sends her to live with her father in a town called Forks. There her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets the mysterious Edward. He's not like other boys: intelligent, witty and special, having not aged since 1918. Edward is immortal, like vampires. But he is not thirsty for blood, his family has chosen a different way of life. A passionate relationship develops between the two young men. But Edward finds it increasingly difficult to control his instincts. And then his old enemies turn up.
