Dante at dawn
"The first light of dawn has banished the darkness..."
(Purgatory, canto 27)
Hell and Purgatory Paradise, performed by József Gyabronka. This extraordinary theatre production is a unique meeting of literature, theatre, city and nature. In Dante, there is much talk of darkness, night, stars, dawn and light - it is no coincidence that Hell is set at sunset and Purgatory and Paradise at sunrise. The backdrop for the performance is the darkening and then lightening sky and the city below.
