Schedule
The schedule of the workshop:
After a short technical introduction, you can start drawing, sketching and figuring out your composition. As a source of inspiration, you'll also get up close and personal with lino prints by some contemporary artists.
The finished sketch will be traced onto the canvas and you can immerse yourselves in the composition, the knives in the linoleum.
And once the engravings are done, you can print, with the help of a classic graphics press.
We will provide you with all the tools you need and you can take the printing moulds you have made and the paper images you have printed from them with you (you may want to take them with you when they dry, so next time you are in Pikszis), and if you want to continue experimenting at home, we will help you to get the ingredients!
Pikszis Culture Point
At Pikszis we collect, consume and display all kinds of art. We have created a multi-functional, cultural community space where everyone is welcome, regardless of their prior level or connection to the arts. Our aim is to make it easier for everyone to explore different art forms by bringing together visual arts, music and more in one institution. Pikszis currently consists of a gallery, a café, a record shop, a vintage store and rooms for different workshops and events. We also have an in-house art school, the Pikszis Analogue Circle, which takes a slightly different approach to teaching people how to create.
