His book Fear of the Dark? The dark is more scared of you! by Peter Vegas, a true fear-relieving tale, or his humorous, apt and charming drawings for the books I'm late for school because... and I didn't do my homework because..., illustrate the brilliant series by Davide Cali, who will be coming to Budapest as a guest of the 2024 Spring PesText Festival.

Chaud's pictures are also the only ones to complete Pamela Druckerman's book Call Paris, published by Open Books, with poems by Anna T. Szabó in a playful and funny translation.

Benjamin Chaud's world reflects an approach in which animals and people have their place, where the details complete the whole, and where humour is never missing. He also tells wonderful stories in pictures and words in his book 'Une chanson d'ours', written and illustrated by Chaud, which has conquered almost the whole world.

We are looking forward to meeting him to get a fuller picture of Chaud's creative world, which is guaranteed by the fact that the discussion will be moderated by Anna T. Szabó on Thursday 26 September at 17:00. The discussion will be held in French-Hungarian, with interpretation provided.

There will be a book sale on site and a book signing after the programme!
