Many people leave their homeland and start a new life elsewhere. But in most countries there is no place for them, they live in ghettos.
In the suburbs where these immigrants live, hatred flourishes.
It is fuelled by hopelessness, misunderstanding and isolation, which creeps into every home and into people's psyches.
Sixteen-year-old Abdul is hospitalised after a confrontation with the police. The boy's friend Vincent finds the gun that one of the policemen lost during the riots. He decides that if his friend dies, he will kill a policeman in exchange for his life.
