Gunnar Garfors is a Norwegian media personality, writer and world traveller. In the latter capacity, he holds several world records, including a 24-hour visit to 19 countries with friends in September 2014. With his new book, Where Only the Bird Walks, published by Cser Publishers, the author invites us to travel to some of the world's most rarely visited countries: Guinea, Mauritania, Libya, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kiribati, Nauru, Sao Tome and Principe and South Yemen. What is everyday life like in the most remote parts of the world, how do people live their daily lives in crazy dictatorships and societies without central authority?
