Schedule
Fritz Lang: Metropolis (1927)
German expressionist silent film
In John Masterman's gigantic Metropolis, only a privileged class enjoys the benefits of technological progress. For them, the gates to magnificent gardens and groves are open, and they live in light and splendour. At the bottom of the city, the poor, the workers who never see the light of day, toil in artificially lit conditions all day long. Elevators connect the two levels, otherwise there is no connection between the inhabitants. Until one day, a group of children from "downstairs", led by a young teacher, Maria, interrupt the fun of the people above. Eric, Masterman's son, is smitten by her beauty and sets off after her to the town below.

Hengermalom
Hengermalom was once the bread of the town. Today it is a mysterious structure that tells the story of Kelenföld, the city and the river. A new story begins among the huge concrete blocks: the empty cylinders are soon filled with our shared ideas.
