PAST

"According to Greek mythology, Artemis, the goddess of hunting and nature, was born on the island of Delos - just outside Mykonos, where I spend my summers. Like Mykonos today, in ancient times, Délos was a cultic, sacred place that flourished. Its vibrant atmosphere attracted pilgrims from all over the world.

The thought of living and working in this archipelago, where curiosity and quest were once almost tangible, has a profound effect on me. "

PRESENT

" Watching people pass by on the streets of Mykonos, one is struck by how removed they are from the present. People seem to live in the mirror of their phones, following the experiences of others, reliving moments shared by strangers. For many, it is as if their own lives are just an external mirror, experienced only momentarily, without really going deeper. Yet the mirror is more than a reflection of the surface: if we stop, calm down and let the energies of the past in, we can see not only ourselves, but also some deeper truth - the inner mirror that is behind us and in front of us. "

FUTURE

"Curiosity about the future is the fundamental driving force of humanity. Why have we always been driven by this desire to discover? What are we really looking for in foreign lands? What do we hope to find there that we no longer find around us? Why do we long to cross borders, whether physical or mental - even leaving our planet Earth in the process of exploration?

NASA will relaunch the Artemis programme in 2025, with the aim of sending the "first woman and the next man" to the Moon by 2026. This mission will be the first time a human has walked on the Moon since the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.

The name Artemis creates a strange link between the past and the future: the courage of the ancient goddess of the hunt and the desire of modern man to reach beyond the ordinary and reach for the stars and explore unknown space. This name reminds us that true exploration always requires that inner curiosity that can be our guide in both the known and the unknown - whether it is a small Aegean island or the moon. "
