BILL VIOLA | SILENCE - EXHIBITION AT NEO CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE
Works by Bill Viola, a prominent master of contemporary art, will be on display at NEO Contemporary Art Space from 22 November.
Bill Viola is one of the most important artists in video art and has created his own style since the genre's beginnings in the 1970s, creating significant works. Bill Viola has been described as the "Rembrandt of the video era" and a "hi-tech Caravaggio".
Slow, unedited movement and analogue, trickless camera work have become trademarks of Viola's videos, which explore fundamental questions of human existence - changes of emotion, birth, death, suffering and states of consciousness.
The exhibition Silence, opening on 22 November, aims to bring the world of meditative works closer to the viewer by presenting Bill Viola's work, conveying attention, stillness and calm.

The exhibition presents three works and an interview: Silent Mountain, 2001, Encounter, 2012, and Ancestors, 2012, all explore different, psychologically weighty moments of human existence.

Célja, hogy aktív szakmai együttműködést alakítson ki szakmai szervekkel, művészeti felsőoktatási intézményekkel, valamint nagy hangsúlyt kíván fektetni a művészetek edukatív célú közvetítésére minden korosztály számára. Projektjeivel aktív szerepet vállal aktuális kérdések feldolgozásban és társadalmi felelősségvállalásban.
