The instrumental and vocal pieces address the audience on a spiritual level. Even without understanding a word of Turkish, these sounds and beats resonate deeply in the souls of all music lovers, regardless of nationality, and move them both figuratively and literally.

The name of the orchestra, the Turkish phrase "nasip kısmet", is a specific linguistic translation of destiny. Like the Hungarian phrase 'will be what will be', 'what fate brings', it is used when one leaves oneself to fate, allowing oneself to be carried away by events beyond one's control. He or she is caught up in the drift of time and circumstances, and accepts with an open heart whatever comes, whether good or bad.

The band's leader Arif Erdem Ocak started his performing career in the vibrant Ankara music scene, with his first band Seksendört topping the Turkish charts more than 15 years ago. Nasip Kısmet was formed in 2019, when Arif moved to Budapest and gathered a group of Hungarian musicians of great calibre, including Dávid Szegő on drums, Dániel Mester on saxophone and clarinet and Márton Eged on bass, and the live line-up was expanded with the addition of Arif's sister, backing vocalist Derya Ocak. The band has not only captivated Hungarian audiences with their unique musical world, but their fan base in Europe is also growing.
