One of the most influential Hungarian artists, László Moholy-Nagy, photographer, constructivist painter, designer, art educator, one of the most innovative "Renaissance men" of the 20th century, was born one hundred and thirty years ago. He broke new ground in visual education and image-making. With his research into the possibilities of visual culture, his image-making methods, his investigations into media structures and his future-oriented, intermedia approach, he was ahead of his time. His oeuvre has influenced many artistic disciplines worldwide and his message is still relevant today.

The exhibition recalls the work of László Moholy-Nagy and its contemporary impact. The exhibitors pay tribute to László Moholy-Nagy by experimenting with different media and innovative techniques in the fields of experimental film, animation, painting, graphic art, sculpture, textiles and photography. The artists do not shy away from social and self-reflection, pushing, reinterpreting and exploring the boundaries of art.
