While in Mine Blossom the themes were alcoholism, unemployment and the resulting suicide, in Mine Blindness the story revolves around the idea of political corruption and xenophobia.

The current first man of the village, which is about to elect a mayor, calls a policeman from the centre to expose the corrupt dealings of the other candidate for mayor. The policeman who arrives belongs to the majority in the country but to the minority in the village. The "inspector" ends up uncovering not only the rival's dealings, but also the machinations of the incumbent mayor. Thus, the two exposed criminals have no choice but to join forces and kill the policeman, thus committing a crime of communion.
