It happened in Palestine, A.D. 39 -41. The Governor of Caligula is one of the highlights of Hungarian drama. It explores the relationship between lies and truth, searching for the answer to the question of how a man can remain a man, whether he exercises power or is exposed to those who exercise it.

It is about honour, friendship and loyalty. And betrayal and self-deception. It's about whether to carry out orders, no matter how insane, or sacrifice everything to defy them. Is he a traitor who finds his country in his humanity, or is he doomed to fall.

The madmen - for this wretched race

In 2011, the production was selected by the Guild of Theatre Critics as one of the best independent productions.
