Schedule

Andrea Heves, psychologist, Annamari Huszár, bibliotherapist and Mari Kőszegi, actress will be with us after the film.

This was our motto at the beginning:

"We're going to start a pretty cool film club", where we can be together, choosing from the Mozinet selection, without anyone having to be an expert. Just let yourself be influenced...then sit down and share your impressions, thoughts and feelings...listen to others....inspire, recharge. Will we have anything to do with these works? Will they be lovable or repulsive? Or will they leave us clueless and dull?" Alexa Novák

The post-screening discussion will be joined by Feldmár Institute staff and invited guests. None of us are experts, film gurus or film critics. We have come together as interlocutors around a film based on our personal connection, our involvement and our fascination with the subject.

If you're drawn to a film after reading a brief synopsis, if you're touched by the subject, or if you like to talk, or maybe neither of those things at the moment, but are curious to see what comes out of it, we'd love to hear from you. You don't have to be a film aesthete, if you can talk to us about yourself, about your experiences, that will be enough. We will do exactly the same.

Rita (Zoe Saldana - Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy), an overqualified Mexican lawyer working in a big firm, receives a surprising offer from the feared leader of a local cartel, Manitas (Karla Sofía Gascón): she asks him to help her close her dubious cases so that she can retire and become the woman she always wanted to be.

A regular at the Cannes International Film Festival and winner of the Palme d'Or (Dheepan - The Story of a Refugee) and the Jury Prize (The Prophet), Jacques Audiard's most surprising film to date is at once a ruthless gangster film, a mad comedy and an extravagant musical. Emilia Pérez once again won the Jury Prize for Audiard, while Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz were the joint winners of the Best Actress award. It then triumphed in five categories at the European Film Awards, winning Best Film, Director, Screenplay, Editor and Actress (Karla Sofía Gascón), and was nominated for an Oscar in twelve categories.

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
