MÉSZ - House of Architects
A wild and mysterious secret garden and a tiny palace hiding among the aristocratic villas of Józsefváros. In the charming cobbled street of Ötpacsirta, behind huge walls covered with shrapnel, a world of its own is hidden, where time stands still and everything around us ceases to exist. The palace, once home to Count Kálmán Almássy, is now the headquarters of the Hungarian Association of Architects, with its chandeliers, silk wallpaper and wooden panelling evoking the past. The good news is that one of the most beautiful courtyards in the city is open to the public, so you don't have to spend hours sculpting and begging your way in, just to see the wonder that lies within its walls.
