Schedule
On Friday 21 March 2025, at 20.15, we will meet in person at the Bem cinema to continue the 2024/2025 season. For the sixth year running, we will meet you with unbroken enthusiasm and chat after the film. We look forward to seeing you again this season, with lots of new films and real conversations!
Andrea Heves, psychologist, Annamari Huszár, bibliotherapist and Mari Kőszegi, actress, will be with us after the film.
This was our motto at the beginning:
"We're going to start a pretty good film club", where we can be together, choosing from the Mozinet selection, without anyone having to be an expert. Just let yourself be influenced...then sit down and share your impressions, thoughts and feelings...listen to others....inspire, recharge. Will we have anything to do with these works? Will they be lovable or repulsive? Or will they leave us clueless and dull?" Alexa Novák
The post-screening discussion will be joined by Feldmár Institute staff and invited guests. None of us are experts, film gurus or film critics. We have come together as interlocutors around a film based on our personal connection, our involvement and our fascination with the subject.
If you're drawn to a film after reading a brief synopsis, if you're touched by the subject, or if you like to talk, or maybe neither of those things at the moment, but are curious to see what comes out of it, we'd love to hear from you. You don't have to be a film aesthete to talk about yourself, your experiences

QUEER
Venice International Film Festival:
Competition film
Golden Globe nomination:
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Daniel Craig)
Luca Guadagnino (Challengers, Call Me by Your Name) is this time the American pop culture icon William S.
He filmed one of Burroughs' sultry short stories. In Queer, which debuted at the Venice Film Festival, Daniel Craig plays Burroughs' alter ego, in what the Financial Times called "the best performance of his life". The former James Bond was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance.
William Lee (Daniel Craig), in Mexico City, USA, is a young man and a drug addict trying to fill the huge void that plagues him. His eyes are caught by Eugene, who arrives in town and becomes completely entranced. The unattainable, outgoing and enigmatic boy turns Lee's dull life upside down. Queer is a journey through an intertwined world of loneliness and sexuality, with the stakes of true human connection and self-discovery.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
