Schedule

To be incarnated from disembodiment, to be born from foetal existence, to evolve and change through physiological and other crises, and then to become disembodied again.

From where we are now, we cannot see what lies around some unforeseen bend. Something ends for good - and something else begins.

In the words of the Polcz Alaine Academy, "Our aim is to break taboos and think together about life and death in a direct atmosphere."

The closer we are to ourselves, the more authentically we live, the more influence we have on the development of our "great processes", be it birth, falling in love or death. Through our attention, presence and thinking about the process, we can control the direction of these processes, but not their quality - our experiences, our lived experience.

Am I satisfied with my life when I look back now? If I knew I was going to die soon, what would I do with the time I had left? Have I really lived, or have I been dying slowly? What does it mean to end prematurely? How do I know if something is really over?

What is the difference between letting go and giving up?

How do I want to die?

These are the questions we seek to answer in the creative process.

Along these lines, we will organise three free events/workshops where we will gather from the participants/viewers their own experiences of the theme of the piece and incorporate them into the performance. In addition to the collection, an important part of these meetings will be to disseminate knowledge about the processes of grief processing and change management, and to raise (social) awareness about the nature and importance of grief work and the problems that arise from its omission.

Location

National Dance Theatre

On 15 February 2019, Budapest's unique new cultural arena opened its doors: the new National Dance Theatre in Millenáris Park. The building, equipped with the latest theatre technology and featuring unique architectural solutions, offers two theatre halls and a chamber hall for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building will also become a community space open to visitors to the park, giving Millenáris the opportunity to become even more part of the capital's bloodstream.
