Schedule

,,1 V 1, i.e. one on one, like on a football pitch. Honest theatre: I tell my life. It will be fun. The tragicomedy of my parents' marriage, the typical characters of an adolescence in the Pest region, teammates, friends, coaches, teachers, dealers, bricklayers, stuck-in-a-congested-car, housewives, live sports and high school, everyone gets their share, because it's a comedy show. A local patriot from Veszprém speaks and you laugh. By the end you will understand why good Hungarians hate Jews and Roma, and I will show you, using my own life as an example, how to become a convinced fascist by the age of 20 after some forgivable path-finding."

Benett Vilmányi: "Back in university, we made a skit from my "benáculásom", and that's when my class teacher, Gábor Zsámbéki, brought the book to me. In the fifth year he gave the assignment that everyone should make a monodrama. When I brought him the first draft of the text, Gábor told me to leave the Sartre text and write something from it myself. On the sketchbook we had done at the time, he felt that I had some experience in it. Then, during the breaks in the radnotic lectures, I wrote what became 1 V 1. Pretty much what I had memorized from my first eighteen years. I used to show Zsámbéki the different phases, we consulted a few times in his car, like some kind of dealer, to see where I was at, but then I was shooting a lot and didn't have time to do it. But three years later, I mean now, I think I still want to say this text."

Location

Jurányi House

The Jurányi Production Community Incubator House has become a key venue in the capital's cultural life, a vibrant hub of the contemporary art scene.

Our aim in creating the Jurányi was to find a stable, shared home for the independent theatre and creative arts sector, providing the infrastructure necessary for its day-to-day operations. We wanted to create a cultural centre in the Buda area, a "contemporary art house" where theatre-loving young people could spend a few hours over a coffee or even a theatre performance, a creative children's activity or an acrobatic movement class, thus re-filling the abandoned educational institution with an active community life.

Jurányi is more than just a theatre in Buda, it is a creative and creative base where visitors can enjoy a varied artistic, community, and educational program, in addition to a regular repertoire of 300 productions a year. We are proud that the Jurányi House is now a graduation subject in some art schools.
