Hungarian band: Come on baby!

The Magyar Banda was formed in 2020 from the most respected young musicians of the Hungarian folk music movement. Their debut album was released in 2021 and immediately received great recognition in music circles. However, the public was first to get to know them in 2024, when they released a series of innovative music videos with unusual instrumentation and appearance for folk music. Thanks to these, they quickly became popular, which is also due to the fact that they show a face of Hungarian folk music that is youthful, trendy and catchy, in addition to being traditional and professional.

The members of the band have been living the music since birth, their virtuosic instrumental skills and the topicality and innovative instrumentation of their folk songs immediately draw the audience into their unique world. Their production draws heavily from the world of contemporary overseas pop and rock bands, proving that folk music is alive and well, and like pop music, can be loved and listened to by all. Beyond professionalism, this radiant looseness and good humour inspired the Hungarian House of Music to ask the band to show the younger generation how Hungarian folk music can be hot. So that's what this concert is an attempt to do, and we promise it will be hard to keep still!
