Secret garden dance performance

What does sin mean today? What are the psychological consequences of committing a sin? Where does shame come from? The Secret Garden performance examines the moral and aesthetic legacy of biblical sin through the representation of the “sinful woman.” Rebeka Petra Kiss faces her own decisions under the burden of individual and social expectations, those she has made—or, rather, those she has put off until now. As she struggles with guilt, shame, and the consequences of her actions, she gradually takes responsibility. She asks for neither redemption, nor absolution, nor forgiveness, but seeks acceptance within herself.

"In this performance, Rebeka does not play herself, but rather slips into the role of her soul. She has no voice, no color, a black-and-white shadow that reveals itself for a brief moment. The performance is therefore neither a story nor a portrait, but rather a fragmented process, the different stages of which can be glimpsed." - Anna Ádám (choreographer)
