Spirited Away (Chihiro in the Spirit World)

Chihiro, a stubborn ten-year-old girl, is convinced the whole world revolves around her. She’s completely unwilling to accept that her family is moving to a new city, and she makes no effort to hide her disappointment during the journey.

While lost in the forest, the family comes upon a strange dead-end that leads to a dark tunnel—on the other side lies an abandoned spirit town. The streets are lined with tables overloaded with sumptuous feasts, which Chihiro’s hungry parents eagerly devour—only to be transformed into pigs when the true dinner guests arrive.

This hidden magical world is inhabited by ancient gods and wondrous creatures, ruled by Yubaba, an evil sorceress. Chihiro can only save her parents if she proves herself useful in the Spirit World by working in Yubaba’s enormous bathhouse.
