If you think that a colorful, synthetic floor covering isn't enough to inspire someone to build an entire exhibition around itâthink again.
Thatâs exactly what happened with edđŸt: the pink linoleum flooring in her cozy, urban living room sparked such inspiration that she decided to dedicate an entire exhibition to the color pink. And not just any exhibition!

Schedule
With her background in design theory and design management, edđŸt brings together images and objects, consumer goods and artworksâtools familiar from everyday life and pieces seen in museum displays or on gallery walls. What ties them together is the color pinkâits many shades carrying different meanings across times, cultures, and social contexts.
When did pink become a distinctly feminine color? What does it symbolize in folk art? How was it used by the French royal court, socialist-era Hungary, and Hollywood? How did the beauty and toy industries claim it, and how have feminist movements redefined its meaning? And what does pink stand for today?
You'll find answers to these and similar questions at edđŸtâs subjective design history exhibition, opening on July 31 and on view until September 9 at edđŸtory. The exhibition is recommended for minors only under adult supervision.
Exhibiting artists and designers: BATĂ Dorottya, GOLLOB Hanna, KLEMENT Csaba, KOVĂCS JĂłzsef TamĂĄs, KĂREI SĂĄndor, LĆRINCZ RĂ©ka, PAPP ZsĂłfia, PUSKĂS Marcell, RĂDLING Hanna, Zeus SALAS, Paula SCHER, SZOMBAT Ăva, TAYLER Patrick, ZENGĆVĂRI Judit
What can you expect on the opening night?Â
✠Thereâs no dress code, but you can count on edđŸt showing up in full pink. Throw on a fun pink accessoryâor go all in and dress head to toe in pink!
✠Of course, the evening wouldnât be complete without a design quiz! The beloved format from the opening housewarming party returns, this time themed around pink, of course. Test your knowledge, enter solo or in a team, and compete for fabulous pink prizes!
✠If you, like edđŸt, have a soft spot for pink objects, you wonât have to say goodbye to them after the exhibition. A special illustration debuting at the opening features nine iconic design objects reimagined in pink by edđŸt and her dear friend Hanna Gollob.
Support our self-funded exhibition and take a piece of it homeâas a postcard or a print!
✠edđŸt is tuning the music pink too. Expect a mix of soundsânot just Pink Floyd!
✠And the color of the catering? Well... you guess it!
Warmly awaits you,
