Schedule

Interactive programs between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Before the concert, our interactive presentation on meteorites will introduce you to the exciting world of shooting stars, and you will even be able to hold stones from the sky in your hands.

In the Planet Sniffer Laboratory, we can smell the colorful and fragrant clouds of our solar system's planets.

In the Spectrum Zone, we will learn about the mysteries of spectroscopy through spectacular light experiments and marvel at the black flame.

Szabolcs Kövi concert from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Multi-instrumentalist Szabolcs Kövi plays 15-20 types of exotic wind instruments at his concerts. His music is both mystical and soothing, helping us to immerse ourselves in our own thoughts. He follows in the footsteps of Vangelis and Jean Michelle Jarre, but instead of electronic instruments, he focuses on the unique instruments of the world's peoples. This year, in addition to the pan flute, North American Indian drone flutes will play a key role, in special double and triple versions.

Telescope observation between 10:30 p.m. and midnight

After the concert, visitors are welcome to observe the sky through telescopes at three locations: the roof terrace of our main building, the Budapest Dome, and the Telescope Workshop.

We will observe and photograph one of the most magnificent trios of craters, Theophilus, Cyrillus, and Catharina, on the rising, waning moon, our faithful celestial companion.

What's more, Saturn's majestic ring system is also waiting for us!

Furthermore, the world of star clusters will also be revealed to us: we will see colorful stars and star chains through the telescope.

We will also see the most beautiful planetary nebula in the sky, the Ring Nebula. Its shape resembles a cosmic smoke ring.

Of course, we will also be able to see the shooting stars of the Perseid meteor shower during the observation.

In cloudy weather, we can explore other aspects of the universe: a local history walk, video observation through a telescope, spectroscopic light source observation through a telescope, and a themed lecture await us!
