The rebound (2024)
For Kálmán (Péter Scherer), table football is not child's play, but a deadly serious competitive sport. He and his team are preparing for the European Championships. They are obsessed, the holy madmen of table football, the golden-fingered titans of "pöci-foci." They have a serious chance of qualifying, but in the final stages of the qualifiers, they are disqualified for financial reasons.
Schedule
All of their lives are thrown into crisis as they lose what was most precious to them. However, an unexpected solution arrives when a billionaire (Patrick Duffy) mistakenly transfers 100 million forints to their account. Although they know the money does not belong to them, the temptation is too great, as it gives them a chance to qualify for the European Championship. The Rebound is an emotional sports comedy about fallibility, love, perseverance, and a tribute to the popular Hungarian game of table football.
