🌶️Chili peppers, which got their name from the Aztec word chiltepin, have been consumed in their native South America for at least 8,000 years, according to archaeological findings. They were spread throughout Europe by monastic orders, quickly becoming known as the "pepper of the poor." It soon conquered the whole world, from Spain and Hungary to China and Taiwan. It is likely that the Aztecs also used it to make sauces and dips. Today, the many varieties of chili peppers form the basis of countless national cuisines.

During the course, we will make pickled, i.e., fermented chili sauce together with the participants, which everyone can create according to their own taste using different ingredients. In addition, we will discuss and review other sauce recipes and culinary applications.

Please bring a well-sealed jar with you.
